Material Run!! Thanks ReStore : )
Another successful material run down to the ReStore. We picked up tons of unique molding destined for the dumpster and lots of misc lumber. All of which we will clean up, strip and sand before using it for our projects. Some people think this is more time consuming and less efficient than purchasing new lumber, some times it is but old wood has much more character and is often better quality than what you would find at your local Home Depot or Lowes. This extra time to us is well spent because every piece we pick has a story, and when we use it for a project the story is continued… not just thrown away.
Pictured in this post is one of our end tables, constructed of 300 yr old chestnut pine. The materials came from a deconstructed home in built in 1729! Try and find that kinda lumber at your local yard!
